A liberal arts education...

In my undergraduate program at Simpson College, I was required to be involved in every production put on by my theatre program. Whether I was at the light board, sound designing, or working in the box office, my liberal arts education taught me the importance of being a well-rounded theatre person.

I was the Undergraduate Assistant of Sound for three years at Simpson; this experience helped me land a sound head position at the Prairie Repertory Theatre and several other professional lights and sound positions.

In order to create art, each piece of the puzzle must fit together. By understanding this, an actress can become a technician and slip back into her role with an understanding of the big picture.
